Sidler Sidelight Series Side Mirror Kits - Required for Surface Mounting
Sidler "Sideline" series side mirror kits are required for surface mounting of the SidelineMedicine Cabinets. There are two Kits available - 2" and 6".
The 6" Kit is used for maximum side exposure, where the cabinet is mounted on the surface of the wall with no recess whatsoever. Included the kit are side mirrors that add elegance to the sides of the cabinet.
The 2" Kit serves a different purpose. Most walls are about 4" thick, so that a complete recess of the 6" Sidelight cabinet leaves about 2" of the sides of the cabinet visible. The 2" Kit's purpose is to mirror the still-visible sides of the partially recessed cabinet. Note that if you have an older home with 6" depth to the wall, complete recess is possible and no side mirror kit is necessary.
Finally, If your wall is insulated and the insulation in the area where the cabinet is to be recessed or partially recessed cannot be removed, then recessing is not possible. Also, if the opposite side of the insulated wall faces the exterior, removal of any insulation is strongly not recommended.

The cost to return a single cabinet or mirror will approach or exceed the cost of the item itself. Additionally re-palletizing and protecting the product for shipment for trans-Atlantic freight by the average consumer, is impractical if not impossible. Sidler products are, therefore final sale and not eligible for return or refund. Defects excepted.
